Joey and Melissa Williams from Cook County, Georgia, are celebrating their 20th crop together, after being high school sweethearts and meeting for the first time at just age nine. The William’s family grows cotton and peanuts, as well as beef cattle. They are also involved with Southern Drawl Cotton, which uses cotton from their farm to make bedding. They have two children, and Melissa describes life on the farm as super busy. There are some perks to farm life though. “We have seen the good, the bad, the wonderful, and the ugly and just being able to walk alongside of my family day after day and to do this together is a blessing,” Melissa says.
