Phillip Grimes is a fourth generation farmer from Tift County, Georgia and has been farming for over 44 years.  Demonstrated by winning the 2014 Georgia Swisher Sweets/Sunbelt Expo Southeastern Farmer of the Year award and for being recognized as a High Yield Peanut Grower for over 20 years, Phillip has learned a thing or two on the farm. Phillip’s son, Andrew Grimes was awarded the 2015 Outstanding Georgia Young Peanut Farmer Award, a prestigious award based on the farm operation practices, environmental stewardship, and leadership and community based service. The Grimes’ grow a variety of crops on their farm including row crops, cantaloupes, broccoli and snap beans.
