Ryan Henderson is a third-generation farmer from a Southwest Georgia town by the name of Dawson, Georgia. Ryan’s farm name is Leeland farms. He grows cotton, corn, and peanuts. Ryan has a passion for farming because he feels like it is an honestly living and it is rewarding to get to feed 75 percent of the world. Ryan has a passion for peanuts because he has grown up around them his whole life and it is one crop that can be grown in the South that everyone else in the country can’t grow. Ryan believes that farming is a lot like teaching, if you don’t have it in your heart, you need to do something else as it can be challenging.
