Andrew Heard is a young farmer at Gary Heard farms in the small town of Newton, Georgia.  Andrew farms alongside his father, Gary Heard, and brother in-law. They grow cotton, corn, and peanuts Andrew is the third generation to carry on this farm. He left home to head to Troy University but decided to come back home to carry on the legacy.

He has had a passion for farming since he was a young kid, and his fondest memories were often on a tractor. He stated that he got “hooked” on farming the first day his father let him drive the tractor. He values farming because he gets to produce peanuts, which is a healthy and nutritious food product that people can consume around the globe.
