Brett is a third generation farmer from a quiet little town by the name of Shellman in southwest Georgia. Many of the fields in the quaint little town could be some of Brett’s where he is either growing peanuts, cotton, soybeans, corn or wheat. Brett eventually had to leave his 8,000 acre farming behind to chase his college dreams. It wasn’t until he was at Auburn University, when fell in love with the science behind agriculture, and then returned home to continue farming. Today, Brett represents farmers as an advisory board member for the Georgia Peanut Commission where he helps with a variety of promotions, educational programs and research funding. Brett is an advocate for more people being educated on agriculture and where their food comes from.
